Trafinz 2016 Tauranga

I wish to put on record my gratitude to Harding Consultants for their fantastic organisational skills that delivered a highly successful Trafinz conference in November 2016.

The Harding team acted in an extremely relaxed friendly but professional manner and we achieved all of our goals with minimum stress. Having not been involved in organising a conference  before, the team helped us through every step. Without them the outcome would have been very difference.

Since the conference I’ve received a number of positive comments from delegates. Here’s a selection:

I just wanted to thank you, Lizzie and Moira for an amazing event. All staff members, including the hotel owner commented on the setup of the function rooms, especially the Exhibition Hall. We have held numerous Exhibitions in the Exhibition Hall and this is the first time it has been setup to that high standard.

2WALKandCYCLE conference 2016

In July 6-8 this year Glenda Harding ran the 2WALKandCYCLE conference with her staff at the Rendezvous Hotel in Auckland City.

Our committee of 7 worked with Glenda from May 2015 to create this conference that exceeded our expectations.

Glenda works very well, is always adaptive to our ideas and puts them into the context of her vast experience of conference building.

I have worked with Glenda on 4 conferences in the past 16 years and have enjoyed her professionalism and can do manner throughout that time.

I will convene another in 2018 and I hope Glenda Harding has the time to work with me again.

Harding Consultants – IPENZ Transportation Group 2016

I was the conference convenor and was very happy to engage Glenda’s services, having seen the high level of professionalism from the Harding Consultants team in previous conferences. Her team were friendly, competent and agile, so took a lot of the pressure off me.

The conference was held from 7-9 March 2016 in the Pullman Hotel, Auckland and was roundly held up as a highly successful and well arranged conference, with a significant increase in the number of delegates from 2015.

The conference was delivered within the agreed budget and went off without a hitch, despite a last minute date shift out of Glenda’s control.

I would highly recommend Harding Consultants to any other organisation seeking a conference organiser and would be happy to discuss my experience with Glenda and her team.

The Results Group Seminar 2015

In March 25 we brought Leadership expert John Spence to New Zealand. Out third time and our first to Christchurch. I wanted to make this a world class event and to ensure that we did not take our Company focus off our Core Business. Working with Glenda and her team was easy. From our initial introduction through to execution she worked with me to shape the event, introduced new ways and added to our concept. I was conscious that I wanted to be one of those clients that let her get on with what she is good at without interfering by insisting on using suppliers we currently use. I wanted to make sure it was a stand alone successful event.

It exceeded our expectations in planning, conduct and the event itself on stage at the Isaac Theatre Royal really added to the experience. It represented our brand professionally and behind the scenes the team at Harding Consultants did their craft. I have asked her to plan our annual conference in 2016 and will involve her in future events here in Christchurch and Auckland. That says it all really.

Spiire 2014

In late 2013, I made the case for and took on organising a client function for the opening of Spiire’s new office building here in Christchurch. It took place on 30 January 2014.

I had worked with Glenda and her team at Harding Consultants previously when I was on the organising committee for the 235 delegate IPENZ Transportation Group Conference in 2010. Based on the successful delivery of that conference and the working relationship I had formed with Harding Consultants, I was confident that Glenda and her team would be the right people to deliver an exceptional event for our clients.

My certainty in a ‘no worry’ delivery on the night’s opening was easily met. It was surpassed by the quality local suppliers who align with Glenda’s aim of exceeding expectations.

The detail that Glenda and her team went into was superb, from the red carpet entrance and the very clever design work of all our promotional material, to a string quartet in the building’s entranceway and each room being themed with the red and black of our company logo. This delivered a WOW effect that greatly exceeded my expectations from the budget that was set and delivered on.

Invitees particularly liked the creative invitations which were delivered in hand written courier packs. A real buzz was created by the unique invitations, which I am sure helped in achieving a high rate of acceptance and attendance for the event.

Harding Consultants have really lifted the bar on office openings. I could not have been happier with the professionalism and organisation demonstrated, from setting a budget, developing the concepts and throughout the lead-up to our opening and then during the event itself on the night.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Glenda and her team at Harding Consultants to anyone seeking to organise an event of any scale. As a professional consultancy business Glenda’s work only served to enhance our professional reputation and we did indeed ‘get the applause’ Glenda guaranteed us in her company’s mantra.


I have worked with Harding Consultants for several years in various capacities including organising conferences and in assisting with the secretarial and financial duties for an Incorporated Society.

I have always found Glenda and her team to be highly professional in their approach and very easy to work with.  They are always willing to help – whether the task is big or small.  I have always appreciated their attention to detail which ensures that everything runs smoothly. 

The feedback from the conference delegates is always very positive in regard to the information received before, during and after the conference.  The innovative theming of the conference displays and social functions are always impressive and a highlight for every conference – for both the delegates and the organising committee.

Glenda’s ability to produce high quality conferences in an ever changing environment is fantastic and a true reflection of her ability to produce a conference to be proud of in spite of all of the potential pitfalls – be it speakers to get to and from the venue, or money available for delivering the conference.

As the Secretary/Treasurer for Trafinz (the Traffic Institute of NZ) I have the job of trying to juggle many activities including financials, website maintenance and membership.  The assistance provided by Glenda and her team means that I don’t have to worry about these and I can rely on a professional and timely completion of tasks which ensure the ongoing smooth running of our society.

Road Transport Forum Conference 2012

I would like to record our appreciation and gratitude to Glenda Harding, her team and Harding Consultants for the magnificent job they did, organization and managing the 2012 Road Transport Forum NZ Conference at the Rotorua Energy Centre this year.

This was achieved in a very demanding and short time frame, in an economic environment that was very challenging and within a demanding industry sector. To arrange this high quality and attendee focused conference to the standard they did, demonstrates their ability and experience for this work and I doubt if this could have been done to the level of success it was, from others in the market.

On a personal note without Harding’s drive, commitment and organizational ability we would have not achieved the result we did. The feedback I have had is nothing short of positive for the event, its management and the total experience.

I would happily recommend Glenda and her team to any prospective group and wish you well for the future.

IPENZ Transportation Group Conference 2011

On behalf of the IPENZ Transportation Group I would like to thank you and your team for yet another fantastic conference.

As Chair of the organising committee it was a pleasure to work with you to organise this event.  You gently prodded us when decisions were needed and made suggestions and ideas that certainly stirred the imagination.  I definitely struggled to imagine a working church being turned into a Bat Cave for our Conference Dinner – it was inspired!

The event itself, while I know a lot of hard work had been going on in the background, certainly appeared to go without a hitch and the feedback from the delegates seemed to support that.  This was my third IPENZ conference over the years and once again I feel Harding Consultants raised the bar!

I highly recommend using Harding Consultants, to anyone, for any event and I look forward to finding out what next years conference has to bring.

NZ Walking Conference 2008

On behalf of Living Streets Aotearoa, I would like to thank you for organizing a highly successful conference for us in August 2008.

The third NZ Walking Conference attracted more participants than previous conferences, due largely to your extensive networks in the transport and associated sectors. Once again you showed a willingness to take our ideas on board, resulting in a conference that suited our organisation and our audience.

Your professionalism and attention to detail ensured that the conference ran smoothly from start to finish. You and your team were always on hand to deal with queries, look after participants’ needs, and troubleshoot where necessary, leaving the organizing committee to participate fully in conference proceedings.

The conference dinner with its theme of “Taking a Walk down Broadway” was a great success, and, as usual, your team participated with gusto! Thanks again for doing such a brilliant job.

 Now that we have tied up all loose ends, on behalf of the IPENZ Transportation Group  I would like to take the opportunity to thank you and your team at Harding Consultants for all your effort and dedication toward organising Conference 2008.

As you are aware, our annual conference is the premier forum for our members and the wider transportation community, and a flagship event for the IPENZ Transportation Group. Furthermore, in the ever competitive conference market, organisers are continually looking for innovation and creativity to gain a competitive advantage to attract potential delegates.

You and your team continue to exceed expectations by adding value and innovation to our conferences year after year and for that, the Transportation Group is truly thankful. Without your involvement I very much doubt that our conference would have grown and evolved in the way that it has in recent years. Your efficiency and professionalism (not to mention sense of humour and fun) are faultless and I would have no hesitation in recommending Harding Consultants to any prospective clients. Your team has truly been a delight to deal with over the past 18 months.

With the conference now moving to a new time slot earlier in the year, it is imperative that the Transportation Group re-establish our conference on the annual calendar to ensure its on-going success. TRAFINZ and IPENZ Transportation Group Conferences 2007
Congratulations on your superb organisation of the 2007 TRAFINZ and IPENZ Transportation Group Conferences held in Taupo and Tauranga respectively during August and October. I wish to record my personal, and Committees’, appreciation for your contribution and guidance during the organisation of these events. Your skills ensure that we get best value for money in delivering a quality conference. This includes the relationship you developed with the venue staff, professional communications with attendees and exhibitors, and total coordination of guest speakers, (particularly the five speakers at TRAFINZ).

I appreciated your on-going attention to detail, including the audio visual, theme graphics and your insistence on timeliness. These all lead to very successful conferences which the respective organisations were extremely proud of.  Being an ideas person I certainly appreciated your flexibility and adaptability to develop and deliver concepts.

I certainly appreciated the accolades I received for the two conferences, which at the end of the day need to be attributed to yourself and the team at Harding Consultants. I find it interesting that whether it is a Council officer, Councillor, Police officer or Exhibitor. They all expect a quality conference, and the feedback received suggested that this was delivered.

In conclusion this was my 3rd IPENZ conference in which I have been involved in organising, and can certainly confirm that despite the bar being lifted higher every year, we delivered the best conference ever. This is well reflected in the evaluation report you have provided.

RTF Conference 2007

It is highly appropriate that I write to you to express my personal thanks to, particularly Leonie and yourself, for the stunning job you undertook in facilitating our conference over the last 5 days.

We have set a new benchmark at a level that will be hard to beat far less maintain.   The past 14 months for the conference committee have been so much easier by our wise appointment of your company as our PCO.  When the “Heat” came on you were “simply the best”.
